Clear Skin Care Routine for Acne-Prone Skin

Struggling with sensitive and acne-prone skin is the last thing anyone could ever ask for. It is undeniable that pimple is a part of our lives but it would definitely feel good if you’re gifted with clear skin. But don’t worry, you are not alone in this and you shouldn’t give up just yet because there are still some ways to achieve an acne-free skin soon enough, so keep reading!

We’re gonna lay it out to you the most basic steps that you need to build an effective skincare. But how do we validate that our skincare is deemed effective? Well first of all, you need to know if the ingredients are sensitive-skin friendly, as well as non-comedogenic which doesn’t clog your pores. This is just rudimentary requirement for your skincare to work on your skin.

Next, your skincare routine should play a role in assisting your skin concerns. For instant, people with acne-prone skin are usually exposed with breakouts, inflammation and their bestfriend – hyperpigmentation. What you should look in a skincare is their ability to give you maximum benefit for your skin. These benefits include:

  • Help prevent breakouts
  • heal hyperpigmentations
  • soothe inflammations.

So let’t take a deeper look into this skincare routine.

Cleanser

No matter what type of skin you have, you must wash your face nonetheless because this helps to clear out any dirt and impurities on your skin. Logically, if you let these impurities sit on your skin, you’d block the entrance for product absorption. Ultimately, it can cause pore blockage and a total waste of money on skincare products if you don’t start with a cleanser.

So, you must think that a problematic skin is caused by too many dirt and impurities on your skin and technically, you’d need a strong cleanser to wipe it all off. Well, you’re not entirely wrong, a strong cleanser will do that except that it will strip away everything on your skin including natural oil. Now you don’t want that to happen, do you? Therefore, you need to consider these characteristics when selecting a cleanser that is suitable for acne prone skin.

  • Non -foamy Gel Type
  •  Low pH: 5.5

  • Toner keeps your skin moist to maximize product absorption into the skin.
  • Toner contains astringent to control your oil production

See, told you there are many reasons why you need it in your routine. So here’s what to look for in a toner that is suitable for your skin type.

Acne Treatment

Now here comes the tricky part for your acne because there are many acne treatment products to choose from. Not everyone can tolerate benzoyl peroxide, so theres salicylic acid and vice versa. To find out which one suits you, there are a couple of things you need to pay attention to. For example, does it dry out your skin, does it make your pimple swell harder, does it reduce redness, does it cause a new pimple and so on. Out of all that, of course you need to find the one that is able to soothe redness, reduce your inflammation and acne appearance without adding to more trouble. Gentle reminder that putting excessive amount of acne treatment does not speed up the healing process nor make your skin any better. Remember, patience is key.
